Fans, family, and friends commemorated this Saturday, July 10, the 9th anniversary of the passing of Comedy King Dolphy.
On Instagram, Zsa Zsa Padilla again asked for prayers for the late actor.
“Today is Dolphy’s 9th death anniversary. Please say a little prayer for him. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen,” said Padilla.
Padilla and Dolphy have two children, Zia and Nicole.
Dolphy’s son Eric Quizon also shared a prayer for his father.
“A prayer for my Dad on his 9th death anniversary. O Lord, the God of mercies, grant unto the souls of thy servants the anniversary day of whose burial we are keeping, a place of solace, of peaceful rest, of glorious light. Through Christ, Our Lord. Amen,” said Eric, one of the comedian’s children with actress Pamela Ponti.
Another photo taken when he was young with his father Dolphy was shared by Vandolph on Instagram.

Family, fans remember Dolphy’s death anniverasry
In the caption, Vandolph said that even nine years later he still misses his father. But he insisted that he was happy because he knew his father was in heaven.
“We miss you papa, it’s been nine years but I know your happy in heaven and your always guiding us. love you so much,” he said.
Dolphy passed away at the age of 83 in 2012, after several years of battling chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Rodolfo Vera Quízon Sr, better known by his stage names Dolphy, Pidol, and Golay (1944), was a Filipino comedian and actor. He is widely regarded as the country’s King of Comedy for his comedic talent embodied by his long roster of works on stage, radio, television and movies.
Quizon never married and was public with his relationships and family. He has 17 children from six hitherto relationships.
