GMA news has reported that several volunteers at Our Lady of Lindogon Church in Sibonga questioned why the priest did not give a homily.
The ‘real’ religious group were away on a retreat – the caretaker of the shrine gave the group a stipend, however he would not elaborate how much was given.
Msgr. Esteban Binghay, episcopal vicar for Cebu’s south district, even talked to the group’s “bishop” in Italian as he claimed to be from that country. But Binghay said the bishop seemed evasive.

The monks have said they will not pursue charges against the group – police however said they will investigate the incident if a complaint is filed.
