Employee gets hair rebonding on duty, inside LTO Dipolog

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has suspended one of its employees who was caught on video, getting her hair rebonded or straightened while on duty at the Dipolog District Office.

In a report by Luisito Santos of Super Radyo DZBB on Friday, LTO Region 9 Director Atty. Aminola Abaton imposed a five-day temporary suspension on the said staff while conducting the investigation.

The employee’s video went viral on social media. The LTO-Dipolog District Office office looked like a parlor because of her hair rebonding.

This is a violation of civil service rules because the employee did personal things while on duty, according to the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Commissioner Aileen Lizada.

It is also possible that this violates the IATF guidelines because the employee is not a face mask.

Lizada appeals for government employees to do their job right amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Matt Evans clarifies recent arrest

Actor Matt Evans asserted to PEP.ph that his arrest last week was not due to the accusation that he had previously assaulted his former partner Johnelline Hickins.

Bernie V. Franco reported on PEP.ph on Friday that it was 2012 when Matt last saw Johnelline.

This is also the year where Johnelline filed a lawsuit against Matt for violating Republic Act 9262 or Anti-Violence Against Women and Children.

Last week, the Manila Police District arrested Matt at his home in Sampaloc, Manila, under a warrant of arrest issued by Presiding Judge Carmencita Lacandazo Logan of the Pasig Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 12.

The actor posted a bail of PHP36,000 on Monday, August 3.

The actor had previously denied the accusation that he had assaulted his former partner, and the case was dismissed in 2013.

He said he did not expect his arrest on Friday.

“Nagulat po at galit na galit dahil ang tagal ko na nananahimik. Eight years an. Happily married na ako with three kids, tapos biglang may ganito na naman after eight years,” the actor said.

Matt did not deny that he had shortcomings in providing support to the child but said he was not running away from his obligation to the child.
