Davao City Mayor, Rodrigo Duterte, has said he does not want any foreign team or individual to intervene with the investigation into the Mamasapano killings.

He also said that an all-out-war, as suggest by some people in the northern regions of Luzon, must be discouraged.

“This is an internal matter. I would not allow foreigners to investigate. Unsay tan-aw nila sa ato? Bugo na gyud? (What they think of us, stupid?) Why would we allow a foreigner to sit there and judge? Tayo na ang mag judge sa atin mga Pilipino kung may mali,” Duterte said.

The city mayor also said that the government might find it difficult to create a truth commission – Senator Teofisto Guingona III, in an online report, said the proposed truth commission will investigate the bloody Mamasapano incident.

He also said the fact-finding body, composed of a chair and two commissioners, can invite President Benigno Aquino III to its proceedings.

Duterte also said last week that he is not in favour with an all-out-war, saying it is not the solution to the underlying problem.
