President Rodrigo Duterte said he wants a motorcycle for Christmas.
According to the president, if anyone would give him a present this Christmas, he wished it would have been just a motorcycle.
Duterte also said he would only stop motorcycling when he is dead.
The 74-year-old president if he would just lose his happiness in life, such as motorcycles, it would be better for him to die because his life would be useless.
“Pag patay na ako. Totoo. Hindi ako maghihinto. Dahil pag maghihinto ako, mabuti pang mamatay na eh, wala na eh. Kung wala na rin kaligayahan yung buhay mo, wala na rin magawa, mabuti pang mamatay ka,” said Duterte.
(When I’m dead. That’s true. I will not stop. Because when I stop, it’s better to die. If what makes your life happy is gone, then nothing can be done, you better die.)
In October, the President had a minor motorcycle accident while driving inside the Malacañang complex. Duterte got slight scratches and light bruises from the crash.
Duterte went back to driving his motorcycle one week after he had a minor accident and was diagnosed with a muscle spasm.
Duterte prays for the Philippines every night
President Rodrigo Duterte admitted that he prayed to the Lord every night for the country.
“Yes, for my country, wala na akong hinihingi para sa akin, para sa sarili (I have nothing to ask for myself),” said Duterte.
Many criticized President Duterte when called God “stupid” before.
Despite this, the president said he was a religious person and still prayed every night.
