Duterte open to idea of ​​running as vice president in 2022

President Rodrigo Duterte has announced that he has not closed his mind to run for vice president in the 2022 national elections.

In his public address Monday night, he said he still wants to continue to do things in government.

“Running for vice president, ako. Sabihin ko, it is not at all a bad idea. And if there is space for me there . . . Siguro,” said Duterte.

“Pero kung wala ako space, and everybody is crowding up, wanting to be one, vice president, sila na lang muna kasi tapos na ako. But there are things that I like to continue, and that would be dependent on the president that I will support.”

Meanwhile, he lashed out at his party mate Senator Manny Pacquiao who is the PDP-Laban president who said recently that the root and end of the problem of the rebellion is the widespread corruption in the government.

According to the President, during the time he and Pacquiao have been friends, the senator was only praising him and recently lashed out about the alleged corruption in his administration.

The President challenged Pacquiao to name the people and agencies he says are involved in corruption.

Duterte further insisted that he knows something about Pacquiao that he can make public.

“At iyong buhay mo, kilala naman kita noon pa. Then we should start also because you are going for public office, presidency, everybody should know. Ito, I will put you on notice. Isasabi ko lahat at kakalabanin kita panahon ng eleksyon,” he said.
