Duterte-Duterte tandem leads Pres. and VP Pulse Asia survey

In the latest Pulse Asia survey, the Duterte-Duterte tandem, the team of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio and President Rodrigo Duterte, are leading the way in the possible run for president and vice president in Election 2022.

In the survey conducted from June 7 to June 16, it was stated that Mayor Sara got 28% support from 2,400 adult Filipinos who were asked who they want to be the next leader of the country in the coming elections.

Manila Mayor Francisco Isko Moreno [14%], former Senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr. followed. [13%], and Senator Grace Poe [10%].

The list also includes Senator Manny Pacquiao [8%], Vice-President Maria Leonor Robredo [6%], and Senator Panfilo Lacson [4%].

Also on the list are Senator Bong Go [3%], former vice president Jejomar “Jojo” Binay, former Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano, and former Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV, who got 2% each.

Sen. got less than 1%. Richard Gordon, former Associate Justice Antonio Carpio, former House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez, and former Defense Secretary Gibo Teodoro.

In the Second Choice Presidential Preference survey, Mayor Sarah still leads, followed by Poe, Marcos, Pacquiao, and Go, in the top five of the list.

Of the possible vice presidents, Pres. Duterte with 18% points.

He was followed by Mayor Isko [14%], Senate President Vicente Sotto III [10%], former Sen. Marcos [10%], Sen. Pacquiao [9%], former Speaker Cayetano [8%], and Sorsogon Governor Francis Escudero [7%].

Also on the list are Senator Bong Go [5%], ‘Wowowin’ host Willie Revillame [4%], and Senator Sonny Angara [3%].

Trillanes and Public Works Secretary Mark Villar had 2% each and Teodoro 1%.

Reps got less than 1%. Alvarez and human rights lawyer Chel Diokno.

Pulse Asia said face-to-face interviews were the survey method for 2,400 adult Filipino voters and had a ± 2% error margin with a 95% confidence level.

“Subnational estimates for each of the geographic areas covered in the survey (i.e., Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao) have a ± 4% error margin, also at 95% confidence level,” it said.

Last month, Davao City Mayor  insisted that the Duterte-Duterte tandem is still unlikely in Eleksyon 2022.
