Philippine Drug Enforcement Agents arrested a notorious drug dealer in an entrapment operation that ended up in a church in Tuguegarao City – located in Cagayan Valley region on the island of Luzon.
31-year-old Richard Abana, also known to the locals as “Chuck,” was arrested after he sold 750,000 pesos worth of shabu to an undercover police officer inside the historic St Peter and Paul Cathedral in Tuguegarao City.
Abana was arrested after handing over a plastic packet which contained 250 grams of the drug. Abana took the marked money from the undercover officer.
Officials say that Abana was the one who wanted to do the deal inside the church. Police are now trying to track the source of the drugs.
Abana will face several non-bailable charges including the ‘Sale of Dangerous Drugs’ and the ‘Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.”
