Authorities arrested seven months pregnant woman during a drug buy-bust operation in Quezon City, Tuesday night.
Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director, P / Col. Ronnie Montejo said the suspect was Mira Bastiner, 44, who lives in Brgy. Damayan, Quezon City.
Police arrested Bastiner around 9:30 pm on West Riverside St., Brgy. Damayan Quezon City.
The lady was included the Directorate for Intelligence (DI) drug watch list in her area.
Police recovered four sachets of shabu worth P30,000 from the pregnant suspect.
The suspect is now under the QCPD detention cell custody and is facing a violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Pharmacist drug pusher arrested in Pasig City
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) personnel arrested a nurse and pharmacist following the seizure of more than P 600,000 worth of shabu and party drugs in separate operations at a hotel in Pasig City and Quezon City on Thursday morning.
PDEA chief Director General Aaron Aquino said they arrested Juan Carlos Reyes Antonio, a licensed pharmacist at Room 2212 Privato Hotel, Pasig City.
According to Aquino, they recovered six sacks of marijuana (6 grams) worth P12,000.00; a sachet of dried marijuana seeds (almost 1 gram) worth up to P 3,000; 20 tablets of ecstasy worth P40,000.00; a high fly capsule worth P2,500.00.
The police operation also seized nine bottles, a glass of vial, a plastic container containing 800 ml of liquid ecstasy worth P426,000.00; a security bank cheque booklet, a mobile phone, a bottle of sterile water and different drug paraphernalia.
Officials said the confiscated drugs and equipment from Antonio totaled P483,500.00.
Nurse caught in Quezon City drug buy-bust
Meanwhile, police captured Nilo Ramirez, a registered nurse in Kamuning Road, Brgy. Kamuning, also in Quezon City, around 4:20 am.
Authorities recovered 3 sachets of shabu (10 grams) worth P102,000.00; 12 capsules of fly high P30,000.00; 5 tablets of ecstasy P10,000.00, miscellaneous drug paraphernalia, a mobile phone, and a Honda BRV vehicle.
Aquino said that based on the investigation, the suspects’ clients were young professionals. Ecstasy, fly high, and others are among party drugs.
