He said the supply came from donations, purchased by the private sector and purchased by the government.

According to vaccine czar Sec Carlito Galvez Jr., more than 42 million doses of the 48.8 million doses obtained by the government have been deployed at various vaccination sites in the country.

He said 13.3 million Filipinos had been fully vaccinated, while more than 18 million have already received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The government expects that by Election 2022, all voters in the  will be vaccinated against -19.

This is important because it will dictate how the Commission of Elections conducts the 2022 national elections, according to Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles.

“I think the COMELEC will just wait and see what the situation is. By that time sa 2022, sa May elections, I think we have covered everybody for vaccination, all voters, by that time, fully vaccinated na sila,” he said.
