Four teenage scholars of Musikademy, have been chosen to represent the Philippines in several cultural festivals across the globe.

The Dabawenyas include Janelle Velez, Fatima Malate, Khennah Landanganon and Frances Guino-o. The four will participate in various editions of the International Festival of Language and Culture in Asia, Europe and the United States.

Musikademy, Davao City’s premier vocal music school, is honoured to have four of its students picked from only 11 from across the entire country.

Janelle Velez participated in the IFLC in Bangkok, Thailand and will travel to Washington, DC in May for the US edition. She is a high school senior at Precious International School of Davao.

Fatima Malate is also a graduating high school student at the Ateneo De Davao University and recently went to Johannesburg, South Africa

For the IFLC in Paris, Frances Guino-o, a niece of fashion icon Boy Guino-o, will be departing the first week of April. Guino-o  is a fourth year high school student at the Ateneo De Davao.

Khennah Landanganon will be performing in Jakarta, Indonesia this April – Khennah will graduate high school this year from the Precious Internal School of Davao.
