Dacera family wants to see more, complete CCTV footages from hotel

The Dacera family asks for more CCTV footage from the Makati City hotel where flight attendant Christine Dacera was found dead on January 1, adding the ones presented on media reports do not show a complete view of what took place.

“We are also asking for additional footages from different angles of the hotel because what the public saw in the social media, in the news items was a view from a particular side in that hotel,” lawyer Jose Ledda III told ANC in an interview.

“Our position right now is that for us to have a complete view and an even deeper understanding of what transpired during those times, we must be provided with CCTV footages that are not exclusive in that particular angle,” he added.

The lawyer was referring to CCTV footage showing Christine Dacera kissing a guy who later identified himself as Valentin Rosales, in the hotel’s corridor. He added the footage would not affect the case as it only presents one angle.

Ledda also said the Dacera family still agrees with the police that Christine was raped. He explained the autopsy report that showed she died of a ruptured aortic aneurysm, did not dispute the possibility that Christine was abused.

“Even if it states that the cause of death was due to aneurysm, it also does not dispute the fact that there may have been a possibility that we still do not know yet that force and intimidation were used during those times,” Ledda said.

The lawyer said the Dacera family is also waiting for the result of the flight attendant’s alcohol and drug tests.

Yesterday, 3 of the 11 considered suspects in the death of flight attendant Christine Dacera were released.

At around 7 pm, the Makati City Police released Rommel Galido, John Pascual Dela Serna, and John Paul Halili after the Makati City Prosecutor’s Office issued a resolution saying that a regular preliminary investigation into the case still needs to be done to determine if the flight attendant was actually raped and killed.
