Crashed C-130 plane to be reconstructed

The Philippine Air Force (PAF) and the investigating team are already planning to reconstruct the crashed C-130 military aircraft in Sulu last week.

“We will reconstruct the aircraft, and we will put the aircraft together as much as we can… reconstruct the events, by doing this, makikita natin ang pangyayari sa eroplano,” said PAF Spokesperson Lt. Col. Maynard Mariano.

While still waiting for data from the plane’s black box, which has already been sent to America, this is while still waiting for data from the plane’s black box.

“They will take it apart and hope to piece together, ‘yong data, the data analysis for the flight recorder… we hope na within a month matatapos ito at mabalik ito,” said Mariano.

In the last PAF record, 20 have already been identified.

The 4th Infantry Division (ID) of the Philippine Army released photos and names of 37 Army personnel, among those killed in the plane crash.

According to Maj. Francsico Garello, public affairs officer of the 4th ID, 9 of them have already been identified, and 28 are for identification.

Mariano reiterated that although not brand new, the crashed C-130 is in good condition.

The PAF, on the other hand, assured that although not all C-130 aircraft will be able to fly yet, it will not affect the ongoing delivery of aid and COVID-19 vaccines to various parts of the country.

Meanwhile, military funeral honors were given to Private Raymar Carmona when he was taken to his final destination on Saturday in Kitcharao, Agusan del Norte.

Carmona was one of the victims in the C-130 crash who was awarded the Order of Lapu-Lapu and Rank of Kalasag, which was accepted by her mother.

It is expected that more military aircraft will be added to the Philippine Air Force despite the tragedy in Jolo, Sulu.

Defense Sec. Delfin Lorenzana at the Pre- Media Launch Virtual Presser said there are new planes the  will buy for the soldiers.

“Mayroon tayong naka-program na 2 brand new C-130. Na-approve na ito ng Congress noon, at inaayos natin ang papeles nito at dokumento para sa procurement,” said Lorenzana.
