COVID-19 vaccination for A4 priority in Central Luzon begins

On Tuesday, Health Sec Francisco Duque III and several other government officials led the ceremonial vaccination for the A4 priority sector or economic frontliners in Central Luzon.

According to authorities, about 500 A4 members in Central Luzon are targeted to be vaccinated at the Clark Development Corporation-Luen Thai satellite vaccination site in Clark, Pampanga.

The event included National Task Force Against COVID-19 deputy chief Implementer Vince Dizon and Pampanga Governor Dennis Delta Pineda.

On the other hand, Duque praised Pineda for his good strategy to reduce the number of COVID-19 cases in the province.

The governor, on the other hand, believes that vaccination is the key to opening up the economy and further reducing the number of COVID-19 cases.

“Dahil din sa pagtutulungan, kooperasyon lahat ng mga lgu, ng mga private companies, support ng Department of Health (DOH) sa atin… sa mga frontliners natin, continuous training ng mga vaccinators natin, to preparing to barangay rollout, yug support ng DOH nandoon,” he said.

“Vaccine na ang kailangan natin, depende sa dating nito plus, more funds na ina-allot ng provincial government to purchase vaccine, so one of the province na makakakuha ng herd immunity ang Pampanga,” the official added.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque was also happy to announce that the country has reached 12 million administered vaccine doses.

The National Task Force Against COVID-19 and DOH has not yet released any new data regarding the country’s vaccine rollout.

Based on the monitoring of the ABS-CBN Investigative and Research Group, the total administered vaccine doses in the country are 11.7 million as of July 4, of which 2,868,905 have been fully vaccinated.

Meanwhile, many cities in Metro Manila no longer have a supply of vaccines for the first dose this Wednesday.

According to the LGUs, no  has yet arrived from the national government, and they are still waiting for more vaccines. They are also waiting for the vaccines they bought themselves but are not sure when they will arrive.
