Cop vs cop: wife dead, husband in critical condition
A police allegedly shot his wife dead, a policewoman inside their home in Sitio Ingod in Barangay Centro, Tubigon town, Bohol on Monday morning.
Tubigon police identified the police couple as Police Staff Sergeant Juliet Tuquib and Police Staff Sergeant Ariel Tuquib.
Juliet was dead-on-the-spot while Ariel also sustained a gunshot wound in the face and is in critical condition at the Tubigon Community Hospital.
Investigations reveal the shooting occurred at 7 a.m. on Monday, January 27, 2020.
Ariel was assigned the Regional Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit (RPHAU) while his wife Juliet was assigned at Clarin Police Station.

According to the Tubigon Police investigation, Analie Ido Suaybagiou, the couple’s house helper, was in the kitchen when she heard a gunshot from the cops’ room located at the house’s second floor.
Suaybagiou also said another gunshot followed.
The couple’s room was locked from the inside, so the responding police had to open the door forcibly. There they saw Juliet’s body on the floor covered in blood while Ariel was sitting on the edge of the bed.
Police recovered one 9mm caliber pistol, Glock 17 loaded with ten live ammunition, cellphones, and two empty shells of 9 mm from the crime scene.
Tubigon Police said they are looking at family problems as the motive of the incident.
They also said the couple would always fight on different issues.
Meanwhile, Police Col. Jonathan Cabal, acting provincial director, said Ariel, who was subject to dismissal due to a mental problem.
“May history of nervous breakdown. Dahil niyan hindi siya makaduty ng maayos,” said Cabal. Ariel’s “disability discharge” was being processed.
