Veteran singer Claire Dela Fuente was one of those who supported the three suspects in the death of Christine Dacera.
Police released John Pascual Dela Serna III, Rommel Galido, and John Paul Halili for lack of evidence regarding the death of 23-year-old flight attendant Christine.
According to a report by Emil Sumangil for 24 Oras, although her son Gregorio Angelo Rafael De Guzman was not among the detained personalities, Claire’s son is also one of the suspects in Christine’s case.
Claire dela Fuente went to the Makati City police station to show her sympathy for them.
In a report by Jamie Santos for the Witness, Claire said, “Masaya ako for them. Siyempre, kung may fighting chance sila, may fighting chance ang anak ko, di ba?”
In an interview with 24 Oras on Tuesday, January 5, he vehemently denied the allegations that he was involved in Dacera’s death.
“Absurd po. Paano ba naging rape? Bakla po ako. Never po akong nakipagtalik sa babae ever in my life. Hindi ako natu-turn on ng babae,” he said.
He also insisted he did not leave Christine at the hotel when he saw her unconscious in the bathtub. He added that he tried to save the victim’s life.

“Nando’n po kami. Hindi namin iniwan si Tin. Until the end, hindi namin iniwan si Tin. Kaya ang sakit ng mga sinasabi nila. Hindi nila alam ang nangyari. Tumingin sila sa CCTV nando’n kami, sa police station, sa ospital, sa hotel,” he said.
He added that just that night Christine was introduced to him by her flight attendant friends as well.
“Chineck ko ‘yung ilong niya kung may air na lumalabas, wala. Tapos chineck ko kung may heartbeat siya, wala rin. Sabi ko, ‘Tin babe, gising na gising na please.’ Tapos inumpisahan ko mag-CPR.
“Malambot pa siya. Naaalala ko nu’ng binuhat namin siya kamay ‘yung kamay niya, ‘yung arms niya palabas ng tub warm pa siya. Kaya akala ko mase-save ko pa siya,” he said.
Claire dela Fuente defended her son, “Wala ho kaming tinatago and I believe my son kasi tinawagan niya ako no’n, e. Sabi niya, ‘Ma may situation dito. Parang patay na yata ‘yung girl dito.’
“Bakla ‘yung anak ko, e. Ang hirap i-admit pero alam ko ‘yon matagal na bata pa siya. Kaya lang nagpapaka-disente siya,” she said.
