Civil Service Exams scheduled on July 18 in 4 regions – CSC

The Civil Service Exams or Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) would proceed on July 18 in selected regions, the Civil Service Commission said Thursday.

CSC said the exam is set to be held in 12 testing centers across Western Visayas, Central Visayas, SOCCSKSARGEN, and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region.

Those interested to take the Civil Service Exams may apply from May 14 to June 3.

“[A]cceptance of applications shall be on a first-come, first-served basis and may close any time once the CSC Regional/Field Office (CSC RO/FO) has reached its target number of applicants,” the CSC said.

Meanwhile, the slots in the testing centers of Koronadal, General Santos, Tagbilaran, and Dumaguete are already filled.

CSC said Civil Service Exam applications may be sent through personal filing, courier filing, or other alternative modes.

“Thus, the CSC strongly advises interested applicants to refrain from going to the CSC RO/FO without a confirmed appointment or advance notice,” it said.

CSC also issued new normal protocols during the exam. Only 50% occupancy will be allowed per testing room.

Examinees with special needs such as pregnant women, persons with disabilities, the elderly, and those with comorbidities will be assigned in separate rooms.

Examinees must also pre-accomplish a health declaration form on the CSC website the day before the exam.

“Those without the pre-accomplished Health Declaration Form shall be required to accomplish the form at the designated area near the entrance,” the CSC said.

CSC also requires examinees to register an account with StaySafe.PH, a contact tracing app.

Due to the pandemic, the CSC has also canceled orientations and briefings on the examination. Instead, it will release an “examinee’s guide” around one to two weeks before Civil Service Exam.

“It shall be the responsibility of each and every examinee to access and be able to understand thoroughly the Examinee’s Guide,” it said.

Examinees must be a Filipino citizen, at least 18 years old, and of good moral character, has no criminal record, or has not been convicted by final judgment of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude.
