Chow Chow seen wandering around EDSA returned to owner

A chow chow that was put in danger was returned to the owner after it wandered into EDSA Tuesday afternoon. The dog was rescued with the help of fire volunteers in the area.

In a report by Mariz Umali in 24 Oras this Thursday, motorist and dog mom Marnie Aguilar also stated that she was distraught when she saw the dog’s condition was so scared, he was cowering na eh kasi dumadami na ‘yung bus and then the buses are so mabilis, so parang, oh my God, ‘pag nagulat ‘to, ‘pag may bumusina, masasagasaan ‘to,” said Aguilar.

Because of this, Aguilar asked for help from the fire volunteers in the area at that time.

Aguilar posted on social media pictures of the dog Hammy until it went viral.

According to George Rendon Jr. of Zack Fire and Rescue Volunteer and rescued Chow Chow, he received 100 calls. Still, they asked for a dog certificate or video proving that they were actually the dog’s companion.

However, the callers could not give anything, so he blocked the numbers.

Until Rendon receives a call from Juliet Aves, who identifies herself as owning Hammy.

Aves showed videos and photos of Hammy, so fire volunteers brought the dog to the lady’s address around 11 p.m.

“Papunta pa lang po kami roon, ‘yung aso talagang kahol na nang kahol eh. Kasbisado niya na po ‘yung area, kahit nasa ibabaw pa lang talaga siya ng truck, ‘yung willingness niya na bumaba para lapitan ‘yung amo niya,” said Rendon.

Aves was very happy to see Hammy again, whom he considered being his son.

Hammy was only two months old when it was given to her. The dog is now over nine years old.

Part of Hammy’s habit was to walk in their place for up to an hour.

The owner said the Chow Chow might have followed the children who left to be vaccinated.

Aves donated to the fire volunteers and promised to pay for their uniforms.
