PNP Highway Patrol Group (HPG) confirmed the chopper carrying PNP Chief Archie Gamboa crashes in San Pedro Laguna, Thursday morning.
HPG said the chief was rushed to the hospital with seven other passengers, including General Ramos, General Magaway, and PNP spokesman General Banac.
According to Colonel Wilson Doromal, Gamboa came from an inspection of impounded carnapped and recovered vehicles in Laguna.
Doromal said the chopper’s landing went well, but when it took off, there was zero visibility due to clouds of dust, and it hit electric wires, causing it to crash.
He also said Gamboa was sitting on the safe side of the chopper and was conscious but dizzy when he was rushed to the hospital.
