Two Chinese students were arrested inside a cinema while recording a movie for piracy purposes.
The pair will face charges under Republic Act #10088 (the Anti-Camcording Act of 2000) before the Manila Prosecutor’s Office. Arrested were 25-year-old Bin Li and 18-year-old Jiong Tong, both studying at Far Eastern University and both residing at City Tower #1, Malate, Manila.
The students were caught in the act of recording a newly-released movie while they were in a SM Manila cinema in Ermita, Manila. They were recording from a high-definition cellphone.
