Killed were 60-year-old Abraham Tan Less Chuy, a Chinese contractor from Quezon City, 60-year-old Romeo Labis and 48-year-old Nestor Caling both of Bukidnon.
The three victims sustained multiple gunshot wounds and were declared dead on arrival at Santo Niño Simbulan Hospital.
Police say that incident occurred at 1.45 along the National Highway when the three men were driving back into the city when they were peppered with bullets from high powered firearms.
The suspects fled on foot in an unknown direction – investigators believe the Chinese contractor was the target in the ambush.
