Celebrities mourn sudden passing of Mahal

Some celebrities were shocked by the sudden passing of 46-year-old comedian Mahal on Tuesday.

In a Facebook post, Kiray Celis said she doesn’t want to think that Mahal is no longer the one she worked with on the romantic-comedy series “Owe My Love.”

“Sa liit na panahon na nakasama kita, ganun naman kalaki ang naibigay mong saya sa puso ko. Ayoko isipin.. ayoko tanggapin.. ayokong maniwala ate noeme mahal na mahal kita. Sana hindi totoo ito. Pls.. [broken heart emoji],” she said.

The leading man in the series, Benjamin Alves, said that he would look for the laughter of Mahal whom he called Ate.

“Ate Mahal… I will miss your laugh and your aura sa set: wala kang moment, kahit late na or pagod na tayo, na di ka nakasmile,” the actor said.

He added, “It was an honor to share a scene with you. We love you forever Ate Mahal! Dedicating a prayer for her soul and for everyone she has left behind. Pag pray po natin sila.”

In a report on PEP.ph, it was said that AiAi delas Alas could not believe it when she heard that Mahal was gone.

AiAi also starred in “Owe My Love,” and Mahal is said to be the one who brings them to life on the set.

“Hindi ako makapaniwala na wala na siya. Gusto kong umiyak pero hindi mag-sink sa akin na namatay na si Mahal,” said AiAi in the report.

Ken Chan also has a post on Facebook to thank and say goodbye to Mahal. “Maraming salamat sa pagpapasaya sa amin Ate Mahal,” said Ken.

“REST IN PEACE sa isa sa mga iconic celebrity na nagpatawa sa atin mula bata pa tayo. Paalam Noeme “MAHAL” Tesorero,” Jerald Napoles said.

Mahal sister’s said Mahal had gastroenteritis and has pre-existing conditions like high  pressure.

She added her sister was in Tanauan, Batangas with her friend Mygz Molino.

“Sa edad niya saka sa dwarfism niya, so far, talagang nasa high risk na siya ng Covid,” Irene, who was in the US, said.
