CCTV captures man thrown, shot dead in Manila street

A man was thrown on the road by a white van and shot in Manila. The victim was even given a sign that read “Huwag tularan, basag kotse at holdaper ako— susunod na kayo” (Do not imitate, I have broken into cars and I ama holdaper— you are next.)

In a report on Unang Hirit, a white L300 van stopped at a street and a man wearing a black shirt pulled down the victim who seemed to be unconscious. Another man was inside the van.

Meanwhile, P/Capt. Henry Navarro said they have no clear data yet if the victim was involved in “basag-kotse” crimes or those who break into cars in the area.

According to the MPD homicide division, the victim sustained four gunshot wounds on the different parts of his body from a .45 caliber gun.

Navarro added that the man was still alive before he was shot. He also said the suspects have possibly beaten the victim before he was killed.

“Ah hindi pa. Buhay pa po siya…definitely nakikita natin na may galit yung dumukot duon sa tao at nakikita rin natin na bago siya binaril, mukhang nag-suffer siya ng pambubugbog o physical abuse,” the official said.

The plate number of the L300 van was not yet determined.

“Tinitingnan din namin yung back portion kung at least may conduction sticker at kung ano mang markings, body markings na pwedeng imaging lead,” Navarro said.
