The largest wind farm in the Philippines and all of Southeast Asia has started producing electricity to the national grid.
The Burgos Wind Power Corporation informed the Department of Energy that its 150-megawatt Burgos Wind Power Project is in full working commission as of November 5.
The announcement and disclosure came to the Philippines Stock Exchange this past Friday.
The Country’s largest Wind Farm Project has a total of 50 large-scale Vestas V90-3.0 MV – wind turbines.
Vestas recently closed a $315 million dollar deal to complete the entire project in Burgos. The farm has been a unique tourist attraction to the Philippines, but many naturalists condemn the project as being an eyesore.
