A bomb scare hits Pasig after a suspicious-looking box was found in front of the City Hall on Thursday noon.
Pasig City police chief Police Colonel Moises Villaceran, however, said the box only contains some newspaper and not explosives.
“No bomb threat, just a suspicious-[looking] box lang sa city hall area (tapat ng city hall) at ng tiningnan ng EOD namin ay newspaper lang ang laman [our EOD looked at it and it only contains newspaper],” Villaceran told reporters in a message.
Mariz Umali reported in Dobol B sa News TV by GMA News the suspicious box that caused a bomb scare in Pasig City Hall was found at 12:15 pm.
Operatives from the Explosives and Ordnance Division and K-9 units then immediately responded and checked the box.
Animal Kingdom in need of donation for over 100 rescued 100
The Animal Kingdom Foundation in Capas, Tarlac is need of donation to provide food for more than 100 rescued dogs in their shelter.
AKF said they already made “drastic adjustments to stretch whatever donations we receive but, like other shelters around the world, we are feeling the insecurity of the future.”’
The extension of enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in Tarlac made it difficult for the animal rescue and rehabilitation center to continue taking care of the dogs.
The Animal Kingdom Foundation currently has 140 rescued dogs and intensifying calls for online adoptions.

“What will happen in the coming months, we dread to think. As we have been saying all along, every centavo of your donations count,” the AKF said in a newsletter.
“As long as we have dogs in our care and supporters reporting activities of dog slaughter, AKF will never abandon the advocacy,” they added.
