The new adventure novel by Philippines expat N K Richards has hit the bookstands. The novel is an elaborate adventure thriller which begins at the close of World War II in Vietnam and climaxes on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines, after passing through Manila and Cambodia. 

Beginning in the modern-day Philippines, the book flashes back back to the era of war, and the beginning of a cat-and-mouse adventure that rampages through Southeast Asia.

Black Hearts – Gold Warriors is the second of a planned trilogy that Mr Richards intends to write. His first, Gold of the Generals was published in 2009.

The book is dedicated to the people of Cambodia, with the following inscription: This book is dedicated to the victims, survivors and families of those people who suffered the nightmares of the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia, the tragedy of the American – Vietnam war, and those who still seek justice from the Maguindanao Massacre in Mindanao.
