The Black Eyed Peas is currently on a world tour and added the SEA Games closing ceremony as one of their stops alongside Brazil, Paraguay, Australia, and other countries.

“When I heard about the SEA Games, I just wanted to do the torch run. Like how Will did it in the UK,” apl.de.ap shared.

“It took me about a month to get the yes [from them]. And now I’m so excited that they’re here for this historical and momentous event — This is a celebration of our athletes for their hard work to represent our country,” he added.

The song has just hit the US Billboard Hot 100 chart this week. Black Eye Peas’ comeback dance hit is a collaboration with Colombian reggaeton star J Balvin which heavily samples the 90s hit “Rhythm of the Night.”

“RITMO” is also a part of the official soundtrack of the upcoming third installment of the buddy cop action franchise “Bad Boys.”
