52-year-old Belgian Randall Jean Gilbert Louwye has been detained at the Labason Municipal Police Station after being arrested in a buy-bust on Wednesday.
Louwye was arrested after he sold a sachet of drugs to a police officer who pretended to be a customer.
“Reportedly from an informant na he’s selling drugs. May mga parokyano siya dito sa Labason mostly mga bata. Connected to some detainees namin last January, connected siya sa mga nahuli na mga target namin,” said Police Capt. Jefferson Arellano, chief of Labason Municipal Police Station.
Aside from the sold drugs, police also confiscated 5 more sachets of drugs and a gun from the Belgian.
The suspect allegedly went in and out of the country because his live-in partner is a Filipina.
The suspect has been charged with violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and Illegal Possession of Firearms and Ammunition.
American fugitive arrested in Tarlac
Meanwhile, Bureau of Immigration (BI) operatives arrested in Tarlac an American long wanted for a string of felony cases in the United States.
Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente identified the fugitive as 40-year-old John Dalton Daclan, who was apprehended last Tuesday in Bgy. San Juan, Moncada, Tarlac by members of the BI’s fugitive search unit (FSU).
Morente said he ordered Daclon’s arrest at the request of the US authorities which informed the BI about the latter’s criminal records in the US, particularly in California where he was charged for various offenses before the court.
Morente added that the American will be deported not only for being an undesirable alien but also for overstaying and being undocumented which stemmed from the cancellation of his US passport by the State Department.
“He will also be blacklisted and banned from re-entering the country,” the BI chief added.
According to records, Daclon is the subject of three arrest warrants issued by the Orange County Superior Court in California on June 21, 2010.
He was allegedly charged before the said court for unauthorized use of identification, grand theft, forgery, burglary, display of false identification, fraud, battery and receiving stolen property in violation of California’s penal code.
Daclon is presently detained at the BI warden facility in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City pending issuance of the order for his summary deportation by the Bureau’s Board of Commissioners.
