American fugitive arrested in Tarlac

Meanwhile, Bureau of Immigration (BI) operatives arrested in Tarlac an American long wanted for a string of felony cases in the United States.

Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente identified the fugitive as 40-year-old John Dalton Daclan, who was apprehended last Tuesday in Bgy. San Juan, Moncada, Tarlac by members of the BI’s fugitive search unit (FSU).

Morente said he ordered Daclon’s arrest at the request of the US authorities which informed the BI about the latter’s criminal records in the US, particularly in California where he was charged for various offenses before the court.

Morente added that the American will be deported not only for being an undesirable alien but also for overstaying and being undocumented which stemmed from the cancellation of his US passport by the State Department.

“He will also be blacklisted and banned from re-entering the country,” the BI chief added.

According to records, Daclon is the subject of three arrest warrants issued by the Orange County Superior Court in California on June 21, 2010.

He was allegedly charged before the said court for unauthorized use of identification, grand theft, forgery, burglary, display of false identification, fraud, battery and receiving stolen property in violation of California’s penal code.

Daclon is presently detained at the BI warden facility in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City pending issuance of the order for his summary deportation by the Bureau’s Board of Commissioners.
