People’s Choice Award Beauty Influencer 2019 Bretman Rock asked his fans to stop visiting his father’s wake just to take photos with him.
Bretman Rock is in the Philippines to mourn the death of his father. Rock expressed his frustrations over people who showed up at his father’s funeral uninvited.
“Can people just let me be sad for onces,” Rock wrote on Twitter. “I’m here in the Philippines for my dad who just passed, don’t come to my house and ask me for pictures.. so many people showed up to my dads funeral uninvited and started taking pics of my dad and my family.. Like why? It’s common sense.”
Rock also asked people to stop taking pictures of him while he was crying.
“I just don’t understand why people think it’s okay to ask me for pictures when my eyes are literally swollen from crying,” he continued. “how you you gonna say ‘condolences , can we take a picture ?'”
On November 5, Bretman Rock shared with his more than 13 million followers that his dad was hospitalized.
“I just found out my dad is in a critical condition and is in a coma now…sorry I’m just kinda taken back and taking time for myself and family!!” Rock wrote. He later confirmed on November 7 that his father had passed away.
Bretman Rock took Instagram to dedicate his People’s Choice Award Beauty Influencer 2019 recognition to his late father. He wrote: “I want to dedicate this award to my dad who has always supported and loved me unconditionally. I love you so much and I’ll always be grateful for allowing me to express myself and defended me whenever haters said anything. This one is for you Papa. I hope I make you the proudest [sic].”
