An Australian has been shot dead by an unknown assailant near his home in Acasia Sunset in Sitio Daorong, Danao on Saturday afternoon.
48-year-old Martin Schlogloferm was shot once in the head and was rushed to Ramiro Hospital by a responding ambulance. He was pronounced dead on arrival.
An investigation by police found that the Bohol Tourist Police were on the scene just after the shooting happened. The victim was about to leave his residence at around 1.45pm to visit an ongoing project site at Sunshine Village. Schlogloferm was riding a black and yellow motorcycle when someone shot him at close range, killing him instantly.
An autopsy was performed on the body by Dr. Joni Co of MHU-Dauis.
