An Australian is facing charges of harassment and grave threats after he bullied a businesswomen in Upper Carmen on the island of Mindanao.

Australian Dereque Allan Jordan went on a rampage after the owner of the home he is renting demanded payment of 980,000 pesos – the unpaid rent for a year. The owner says that Jordan also failed to pay bills, amounting to an additional 51,290 pesos. The landlord also claimed that Jordan had failed to pay ‘association dues’, amounting to another 73,396 pesos.

In all, businesswoman Denvi Cabrera claims that Jordan owes over 1.1 million pesos on a home he rented in Golden Village Subdivision in Upper Carmen.

Cabrera had the property fenced, which set-off Jordan who then blocked Cabrera’s car and struck her vehicle with a baseball bat. The owner contends that she sent Jordan a demand letter to pay the 980k pesos rent and other bills associated with a 775-square metre home.

Former city police acting director Antonio Montalba, owner of the security agency for the subdivision, said he was also contemplating pressing charges against the suspect for harassing his guards who came to calm the situation.
