Arvin Tan went berserk in QC motel arrested in Manila

A man was arrested after running amok and inciting a car chase in this city, Tuesday morning.

The suspect was identified as Arvin Tan, who in 2017 was also videotaped while raiding the Manila Police District Headquarters and attempting to flee in a black car when he was arrested by police.

According to the City Police District, the suspect checked into a motel on Timog Avenue on Tuesday.

But when he checked out, he looked for the motel manager and asked for P20,000.

“Nung palabas na siya, hinahanap itong manager natin. At nu’ng magkita, humingi ng P20,000. Imbis na magbayad ay nanghingi pa siya ng pera,” said Station 10 chief Lt. Col. Alex Alberto III.

The manager was surprised, so he asked the police for help. But instead of making the arrest, Arvin Tan tried to hit the police car.

MMDA police demanded back-up as they tried to intercept the suspect in EDSA Timog.

Two MMDA traffic enforcers even intercepted Tan while returning to their traffic base in the area.

But Tan also escaped.
