Well-known artist and painter Jose Yap Baguio has died aged 56.
Baguio died near his home in Manila while walking – he suddenly collapsed and was pronounced dead on the scene. His partner said she yelled for help but Baguio was already dead and unresponsive.
Jose Yap Baguio was born in Cebu City in 1959 and graduated from the University of Visayas with a degree in Architecture in 1977. His works featured realist pastoral scenes, old churches, altars and harvest scenes of the Philippines.
