Angkas Food delivery service launched

Motorcycle-ride hailing firm Angkas launched Angkas Food delivery service to aid its riders during the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon.

It offers door-to-door delivery of food from its several partner restaurants.

The company admitted delivering food is not their expertise. However, the service was to help Angkas bikers to earn while serving those who are at home.

“Sinimulan namin ang service na ‘to para makatulong sa Angkas bikers at para sa atin na kailangan ng food delivery sa gitna ng quarantine,” Angkas said in its Facebook page on Monday.

(We started this service to help Angkas bikers and for those of us who need food delivery in amid the quarantine.)

Angkas clarified that they will not take commission from Angkas Food.

“Wala kaming commission na kukunin dito, lahat ito ay para sa mga Angkas biker,” it noted

(We will not take commissions. All of this is for the Angkas bikers.)

Angkas said the service is available from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

To practice social distancing, a “no-touch interaction” will be implemented. Angkas said the biker would place the items on the seat of the motorcycle or on the doorstep while the customer picks up their delivery.
