The police swooped on the tourist after he had paid a ‘bar fine’ to take a sex worker from a nightclub on Fields Avenue.

Instead of taking him to a police station, they took him to a ‘safe house’ where they demanded one million pesos.

The victim gave them 200,000 peso to be set free but the two officers were relentless and pursued him in obtaining the remaining 800,000 peso they demanded.
