Two Americans have been arrested after they allegedly dumped the body of a 23-year-old Indiana woman into Manila’s Pasig river.

The Manila Police District (MPD) has identified the suspects as Troy Woody, aged 21, currently living in a condominium unit in Barangay Highway Hills, Mandaluyong City, and Mir Islam, 22, who lives in a condominium in Ermita.

The MPD said the two men booked a driver from Woody’s residence via Grab. According to the driver, the suspects loaded a large brown box into the back of his car and asked to be taken to a shopping mall in Ermita.

However, before arriving at their stated destination, the suspects asked the driver to stop at the Baseco Compound in Tondo, where they threw the box into the Pasig River.

Within the box, her remains were stuffed into a garbage bag and wrapped in duct tape. According to a report on Super Radyo dzBB, Woody was in a relationship with the victim.
