The Bureau of Immigration is deporting an American wanted for murder and a string of other criminal cases in the US.

Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente said that 38-year-old Antonio Marsonel Wilson was now in the bureau’s custody following his arrest in Angeles City late last month.

In a statement issued today (Wednesday, April 3), Commissioner Morente said Wilson was the subject of an arrest warrant issued by the US district court in Warren County, Kentucky.

He added that as well as from murder, Wilson was also indicted on charges of first-degree assault, domestic violence, first-degree wanton endangerment, possession of a firearm and handgun by a convicted felon, tampering with physical evidence, trafficking in marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

It was learned that Wilson had also pleaded guilty to drug conspiracy and four counts of distributing crack cocaine.

Commissioner Morente described the American as a “hardened and incorrigible criminal whose presence here poses a serious threat to the lives and well-being of Filipinos”.

He said the BI board of commissioners will issue the order for Wilson’s deportation to facilitate his immediate expulsion to the US, where he will be made to answer for his crimes.

Wilson also made headlines in Kentucky June last year after deputies from the Warren County Sheriff’s Office reportedly arrested him for assaulting and attempting to shoot his son with a handgun.

Wilson’s son said he grabbed his father by the arm holding the gun and held on to it as his father bit him.

He was struck in the left side of the head by the gun during the incident was treated at a hospital for his injuries.

Wilson is currently held in the bureau’s Bicutan detention centre in Taguig pending his deportation.
