John Stanfield, an American accused of rape and other sexual assault charges, has pleaded not guilty at his formal arraignment on Tuesday in Davao City.
Stanfield, also known to many as “Bill Rush” is a native of Ohio. He is accused along with his live in partner, Girlie Reyes of Santo Tomas of rape and qualified trafficking on charges from January of 2015.
Stanfield is accused molesting underage girls at his home in Dona Luisa Village in Ecoland, Davao City. He is also accused of sexually abusing three minors, one as young as five.
In an order issued by Regional Trial Court-Branch 33 from April 26, Stanfield, with the assistance of his lawyer Roland Reyes, opted against the use of Judicial Affidavit and set the motion to have a pre-trial conference on August 22.
The charges against Stanfield do not include the abuse against minor charges, he will face a preliminary conference on June 21 to answer to those charges by himself.
