The Department of Health (DOH) clarified yesterday that all age groups are now experiencing increased COVID-19 cases and not just among children.

According to the DOH, there was a 59% overall increase in COVID-19 cases in all age groups recorded from July 13 to 25.

The largest increase in COVID-19 cases was in the 30-39 age group, while the lowest was in the 80-year-olds and above.

This comes after the report that more children are now being exposed to COVID-19. For example, at the Philippine General Hospital, six children with COVID-19 were admitted.

PGH spokesperson Dr. Jonas Del Rosario said three of them are in critical condition while two have moderate symptoms, and one is a mild case that is on its way to recovery.
