Abu Sayyaf has announced it has killed hostage Robert Hall after his family and government were unable to meet their multi-million dollar ransom.
The terrorist organisation said they killed Mr Hall on Monday afternoon after the 3pm deadline passed. Abu Raami, a spokesman for the Islamic State-affiliated terror group, phoned the Inquirer and informed the newspaper that they had killed Hall.
Raami also told the Inquirer that Hall’s body would be found in the town of Jolo. Abu Sayyaf had demanded 600 million pesos for the release of Canadian Robert Hall, Norwegian Kjartan Sekkingstad and Filipina Martes Flor.
Abu Sayyaf are said to have beheaded Hall but military forces have not confirmed or denied the claim.
