About 75 vaccination sites are participating in the three days of ‘National Vaccination Day’ in Manila starting this Monday.
According to the Manila Public Information Office, almost all vaccines used in recent months are open.
But a reminder to the public, each vaccination site only has a dedicated priority group, so it’s a good idea to check the Manila PIO’s Facebook page for details.
There will be 44 health centers to be vaccination sites for the first and second doses of priority group A1 to A5 category only. Some of the health centers are in Parola, Smokey Mountain, Earnshaw, Pedro Gil, and others.
There are 18 public schools also participating in the program. These public schools or so-called community school sites are only for minors 12 to 17 years old and for booster shots of the A1 to A3 category. These include Isabelo Delos Reyes Elementary School, Ramon Magsaysay High School, Sta. Ana Elementary School and others.
Three private schools are also involved in the vaccination. This is only for 12 to 17 years old. The schools are Manila Cathedral School, Holy Child Catholic School, and La Consolacion College Manila.

There are also four malls involved in the vaccination of the first dose of A1 to A5 category and for minors 12 to 17 years old.
These include SM San Lazaro, SM Manila, Robinsons Place Manila and Lucky Chinatown.
Six district hospitals are also involved in the vaccination. These are for everyone who wants to get vaccinated. For minors 12 to 17 years old, the first dose of A1 to A5 category and booster shots are also available. Hospitals include Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center, Sta. Ana Hospital, Sampaloc Hospital and Tondo Hospital.
The Philippines confirmed 838 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, making the country’s total number of infections 2,831,807.
This record was the lowest number of new cases this year. It is also the fifth straight day that the country has had less than a thousand new infections.
The Department of Health also reported 1,217 new recoveries, bringing the total number of Filipinos who recovered from the illness to 2,766,816.
