In an interview with TFC News, Overseas Filipino Worker Benedicta Taberdo-Palcon, chairperson of the Greens Philippines Migrant Workers Union, and Jassy Santos, chairperson of the Progressive Labor Union of Domestic Workers in Macao, happily shared their negative COVID-19 test results.

Doon sa gawi na ‘yun kasi ako namimili ng gulay,” said Taberdo-Palcon, 53 years old.

“Masaya po… Makikita mo kung paano kumilos ang gobyerno ng Macao at paaano ang cooperation ng bawat mamamayan,” said Santos, 46 years old.

All Filipino workers in their leadership group joined the program despite sacrificing queuing for the free COVID-19 mass swab testing conducted by the Macao government.

And in case the government orders a second round of swab testing again, they will comply again.

Taberdo-Palcon urged the people of Macao to continue to unite with the government’s policies regarding coronavirus suppression.
