Nearly 500 showbiz workers vaccinated within 3 hours – Diño

In just three hours, up to 477 workers in the entertainment industry were vaccinated against COVID-19 with the help of the Quezon City local government, according to Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) Chairperson Liza Diño.

In her Facebook post, Diño shared the success of the collaboration between the FDCP and Quezon City LGU to vaccinate many employees working in showbiz who are in the A4 category.

She said the vaccination was even more special because his wife Ice Seguerra had a live acoustic performance for his birthday and while the workers were queuing. There is even food porridge prepared for them.

“The #QCProtekTODO #FDCP #bakunanights LAUNCH was a success! With a live acoustic performance from my hubby Íce and his band, the pogi boys (bday gift nya po sa akin) to entertain our workers while waiting for their turn,” said Diño.

She said she was happy that she was able to celebrate his birthday – by helping employees who work either in front or behind the camera.

“What a meaningful way indeed to celebrate the eve of my birthday with the workers we support and serve. It was exciting to see familiar faces, with people smiling, and seeing each other for the first time,” said Diño.

“Yes, it was an evening full of hope.”

Diño also thanked the city mayor for helping them and said that another 1,000 employees are targeted to be vaccinated from their sector.
