Barangay Bagong Silangan has the most evacuees with 479 families or 2,014 individuals.

There are modular tents in evacuation centers to strictly enforce physical distancing.

When the school serves as the evacuation center, only 3 to 4 families can be allowed in each room so that physical distancing can be strictly enforced.

The local government has already provided food and other assistance needed by the evacuees.

Quezon City river-waste clearing operations group personnel and DRRMO personnel are also in full swing cleaning the roads and other areas that have been severely affected by the rain.

Meanwhile, a state of calamity has been declared in the towns of Naujan and Calapan City in Oriental Mindoro due to the flood damage in recent days.

This is to use the calamity funds for relief operations and rehabilitation.

The areas were hardest hit by the rains brought by the southwest, which was intensified by Typhoon Fabian and ravaged Luzon for several days.

Naujan  Mark Marcos is appealing for help from the national government to solve the flooding.

“Kinakailangan masolusyonan Ito sa pamamagitan ng flood control mitigation projects o kung hindi man ay talagang ma-desilt na ‘tong mga major river system dito sa Oriental Mindoro partkular sa bayan ng Naujan dahil ang mga ilog natin ay buntis na, napakarami ng mga lupa at buhangin,” said Marcos.
