4 carnapping suspects killed in Plaridel, Bulacan

Four carnapping suspects were killed in an encounter with the police in Plaridel, Bulacan, early morning of Sunday.

The encounter occurred at 3:50 a.m. in Barangay Bagong Silang.

According to the victim who asked not to be named, he was returning to his car after buying at a convenience store in Barangay Banga Dos when two gunmen pointed guns on him.

The suspects took the car’s key from him and fled.

The victim immediately reported the incident to the police, and so other enforcement units were alarmed to track the carnapped vehicle.

According to acting regional director of the Regional Regional Office of the Region 3 (PRO 3) Police Brigadier General Leonardo Cesneros, when the stolen vehicle’s license plate was flash alarmed, the police noticed the car evading the checkpoint on Bypass Road.

When the vehicle with plate number AHA 2068 arrived on NIA Road in Barangay New Silang, the police stopped it.

The suspects first fired a gun, and the police retaliated, resulting in the death of the suspects.

The authorities recovered two calibers .38 guns, a caliber .45 rifle and an Uzi submachine gun from the four carnapping suspects.

A bullet hit a policeman, but luckily, it hit his vest.

Police are still investigating which group the suspects belonged to.

They believe this is a possible new carnapping group that is also involved in gun-for-hire operation and robbery.
