39 party-list groups likely to be removed from Comelec list

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) is already considering deleting 39 party-list organizations from the official list before the 2022 elections.

According to the Comelec, Section 2, Rule 3 of Resolution No. 9366 of Republic Act No. 7941 or “Party-List System Act” authorizes the Commission to revoke or cancel the registration of a partylist group due to its failure to participate in the last 2 elections, or failure to obtain a 2-percent vote under the party-list system in the last two elections.

The following groups’ registration could be removed due to non-participation in the last two elections:

1. ADING – Advance Community Development in New Generation
2. 1-AAMOVER – 1-A Action Moral & Values Recovery Reform of the Phils., Inc
3. ANG PAMILYA -Una Ang Pamilya
4. AG – Ang Galing Pinoy
5. ALAGAD – Alagad Party-List
6. ANAD – Alliance For Nationalism and Democracy
7. KAKUSA – Kapatiran ng mga Nakulong na Walang Sala, Inc.
8. KALIKASAN PARTY-LIST – Kalikasan Partylist
9. 1-AANI – Usa An Aton Nahigugma Nga Iroy Nga Tuna

Meanwhile, among the party-list groups that could be removed from the Commission’s list due to the failure to get a 2-percent vote and failed to get a seat in Congress is as follows:
