3 top most wanted, 13 more arrested in Cagayan

Authorities arrested three top most wanted and 13 others in separate operations in Cagayan Valley on Monday. 

PBrig./Gen. Angelito Casimiro, regional police director­ of Cagayan Valley (Region-02), identified the three most wanted persons Rodolfo Medelin, 58, top 1 provincial level (Intelligence List), of Brgy. Catugan, Lallo, who was arrested for rape and acts of lasciviousness cases; Rolando Dela Cruz, 32, top 2 on the provincial level, from Mandalagan, Ba­colod City, Neg. Occi­dental and a resident of Brgy. Cabatacan East, Lasam (murder case), and Danny Alariao, 51, top 3 on the provincial level, ng Maura, Aparri, who was arrested for a murder case.

Erick Frugal, 22, top 7 municipal level, was arrested in the same province; John Paul Santos, 19, Top 8 municipal level, for violation of RA 9775 and RA 9995 and both of Brgy. Tucalana, Lallo; Ali Batugal, 45, of Brgy. San Gabriel, Tuguegarao City, and Rolly Cortez, 56, of Brgy. Dugo in Camalaniugan.

Police arrested Stanley Capelo, 37, top 7 municipal level, of Brgy. Annafunan (qualified theft case); Anicia Lagat, of Brgy. Baganatan, Ilagan City; Lovelydoll Miguel, 32, of Brgy. Canogan Alto, Sto. Tomas; Lorven Medrano of Brgy. Mabini, Santiago City; Reymond Quijano, 43, of Brgy. Pinoma, Cauayan City; Merlita Yee, 59, and Conchita Concha, 58, both of Brgy. Oscariz, Ramon.

Authorities also arrested Robert Estela, 44, a resident of Barangay Ricarte Norte, Diffun, Quirino and Fraylan Morillo, 27, top 7 municipal level, of Brgy. Bateng, Mangaldan, Pangasinan for a qualified theft case.

According to Casimiro, the pursuit of most wanted criminals is part of the intensified operation of the police’s “Manhunt Charlie.”

Drug pusher dead in buy-bust

A drug pusher was killed while his companion was injured after they fought the police in a buy-bust operation in Purok-1, Brgy. Inascan, Guinobatan, Albay.

The victim, Rolando Nieves, was shot to death and while Manuel Marasigan Jr., of Brgy. Binogsacan, who was considered to be a high-value target (HVT) got injured but escaped.

According to the report, around 4:15 pm, joint operatives of the Provincial Intelligence Branch, Albay Mobile Force Company, and Guinobatan Police launched the buy-bust operation after the two suspects did not stop at a community quarantine checkpoint in the town.

Police recovered a large sachet of shabu worth P12,000 and the boodle money used in buy-bust from the suspect.
