3 police chiefs in GenSan removed for neglect of duty

Three police chiefs of the General Santos City Police Office (GSCPO) were removed from their posts as station commanders on November 18, following a surprise visit by Police Brigadier General Alexander Tagum.

According to Tagum, chief of Police Regional Office XII, he immediately ordered the three station commanders to be relieved of their posts after discovering that the service was negligent.

According to Tagum, the police chiefs were absent from duty during the surprise inspection, and there was a lack of police personnel on duty.

PRO XII identified the dismissed as Police Major Rommel Constantino of Police Station 1, Police Major Yol Hilado of Police Station 3, and Police Captain Abdulsalam Mamalinta of Police Station 4.

The police chiefs were transferred to their new assignment, which the authorities have not specified.

On the other hand, Tagum warned other station commanders that he would continue to conduct surprise inspections to ensure they fulfilled their responsibilities as leaders in their respective police stations.

2 high schools in Imus opened as pediatric vaccination sites

Vaccination of youth ages 12 to 17 in Imus City, Cavite, will continue using 2 of its high schools as vaccination sites.

Vaccination began at Imus National High School and General Emilio Aguinaldo National High School on Monday.

According to Mayor Manny Maliksi, the city targets vaccinating 1,000 to 1,200 youth at each site per day.

But so far, less than 900 are on average vaccinated per day at a site.

The city government said the schools had been used to speed up the immunization of children, especially since students already have a record here and it is easier to access.

Teachers and non-teaching staff of schools also help with vaccinations.

The 2 schools have a combined population of 21,000 students.

Only young people of the rest of the population can be vaccinated at high school vaccination sites.

Young people with comorbidities or pediatric A3 category will still be vaccinated at the hospital.
