At the height of the fire, the second floor collapsed and burned four cars.

According to the helper who survived the fire, she heard a loud blast before the fire broke out in the kitchen.

She ran outside to ask for help, but the fire grew fast and spread quickly.

“‘Yong fire extinguisher hindi kaya. Hindi kaya kasi grabe talaga ‘yong apoy,” said Melendre Alegre.

(The extinguisher cannot put out the fire because it was severe.)

She even saw her boss asking for help on the second floor of the house.
