Two suspected victims of salvage were found in Barangay Cabay, Tiaong, Quezon this Wednesday morning.
The hands and feet were tied with packaging tape, and wire was also wrapped around the victims’ necks.
There were also gunshot wounds and bruises on various parts of the victims’ bodies, which are said to be signs that they were tortured.
According to a barangay councilor, it was past four in the morning when the bodies were found.
Residents in the area did not hear gunshots, but bullet casings were found in the area where the bodies were found, which has not yet been determined as to what caliber the bullets came from.
While the PNP-SOCO was conducting an investigation, two people came to the scene and identified themselves as cousins of one of the two victims.
According to them, Rommel Bartolome is the name of a man from Sampaloc, Manila.
He allegedly left Sampaloc two days ago to sell a motorcycle.
They said they did not know who was found dead with him.
Less than a week ago, a 16-year-old man who was also a “salvage victim” was dumped in Sariaya town, Quezon.
According to the authorities, a female salvage victim was allegedly dumped in Tagkawayan, Quezon two weeks ago.
The Tiaong Municipal Police Station is continuing its investigation into the incident.

Woman found dead in Pampanga
A 17-year-old woman was found dead in a vacant lot in Mexico, Pampanga. The victim was believed to have been raped.
In a report by Russel Simorio on GMA Regional TV “Balitang Amianan” on Tuesday, the victim was identified as Sandra Culcul, a resident of Barangay Pandacaqui.
The victim’s body was found in a vacant lot in Barangay Tangle.
She had wounds on her head and other parts of her body. She also has no undergarment and her clothes were raised to her chest.
According to the victim’s relative, someone saw a lot of flies in the area and when they followed where it was coming from, they saw Culcul’s body.
According to the victim’s relatives, the teenager went out to buy something but failed to return home.
